Chimps Kidz to host Charity Fashion Show - 27/02/2010
Chimps Kidz, designer children’s wear store situated in Wakefield will be helping raise funds for charity and hosting two fashion shows throughout the day on Saturday 13th March. The store will be showcasing the latest spring/ summer trends for this season in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK.
“The fashion show is great fun for all,” says Sally McKay-Gunn and Carole Blackburn, joint owners of the store. “We thought it was an excellent way to raise money for a very important charity and at the same time launch our new spring/summer collections.”
On this one off day the store will open its doors to customers at a cost of £3.50 for adults and free entry for children where 9 young models will be strutting their stuff in the latest fashions. Customers will be able to enjoy the new collections in the comfort of the store with refreshments available to help keep you rehydrated for that big shop. Shows will take place at 12pm and 2pm with the opportunity to browse the store before and after. Trained staff will be on hand to offer the best in customer service and find that perfect outfit. “Chimps Kidz aim to give every customer that enters our store excellent customer service with a personal touch,” says Adele, manager of the store.
All ticket proceeds will be given to Cancer Research UK and all customers will receive 20% off all items purchased on the day. Tickets can be purchased from the store before and on the day as well as from all staff members.
This is an excellent opportunity for shoppers to get the latest in designer fashion at discounted price and help raise money for charity. And whether it’s just the chance to get away from the kids or find them that perfect outfit for summer there’s something for everyone, with ranges from 0-16 years and a new collection of ladies wear. “We at Chimps are extremely excited for the fashion show,” says Sally and Carole. “Planning is already underway and we are liaising with Cancer Research UK to make the most of our event.”
As we are currently approaching the new season, Chimps are currently receiving the up and coming stock and this is an excellent way to view it. Hoping to brighten the mood that the current English climate has left shoppers in, the new stock is a change from the dark wintery colours and offers a new fresh approach. Brands arriving in store this season include; Diesel, Miss Sixty, Rare, Nolita, Juicy Couture, Chipie, IKKS, DKNY and Timberland. Also new for this season is Ben Sherman.
